Of Beauty and Toilets
Adi doesn’t know how to write, so this is really me, Patrick.
Adi has been potty training recently and doing really well. As I write, she’s in the bathroom singing songs from The Beauty and the Beast in Spanish. She called me in a minute ago to show me that she had gone poopie. Sure enough, she had. Then she smiled and looked up at me and said, “I am so beautiful,” * pause *, “for go poopie in the toilet.”
And it was more than just encouragement when I said, “Yes, of course you are.”
