Belfast
Yesterday it rained all day and we drove to Belfast to get a sense of the city. The sense we got was that maybe it would be better to skip it altogether. The peoples accent is severe and the city seems dirtier than the other sites in Ireland. As usual, you can’t tell where you are because of inadequate street signs. We wasted hours trying to find the B&B and then it was full. (yes, only one) We had to drive out to Crumlin to get a place, which luckily wasn’t full, and the best place we’ve stayed so far.
Today we returned to Belfast (against better judgment?) and took forever finding City Hall. We’re now waiting for the next tour. Tonight or tomorrow, we’re off to the Giants Causway on the northern tip of the Island. The down to the south to pick up on what we missed with Dave.
