World’s Largest Media Trivia Contest

This contest in Stevens Point, Wisconsin is something we should consider as a family, although I don’t think I’d be much help. I read about it in USA Today, and found the questions (samples at this site) outrageously obscure. Here’s an example:

In game 5 of the 2003 World Series, in the top of the seventh inning, the Marlins’ manager and trainer came to the mound to look at a blister on the pitcher’s finger. What song was played on the organ during that moment?

The teams are allowed to use any resource they can muster in order to answer the questions in the time it takes to play a couple songs on the sponsoring radio station. You can listen to it at the web link on the 90fm site. Hey, I just got the right answer for the last question! The host of the 2004 TV land awards was Brad Garrett.

By the way, the song played on the organ was Billy Joel’s My Life.
