Maddenation

A sad day/time/epoch

What’s happened to our site? Nobody is making it a priority to read and create entries and comment on the great opportunities provided by certain dutiful members of the family. Lately, it has even become necessary to use cheap tricks to entice members into paying attention. Oh for the days of June, 2003, when their were more entries than there were days of the month. Why, during that same period, one person made 29 comments on the same entry!

So I ask you to give me your reasons for not commenting. List them in the comments section. One reason per comment.

One reason is busyness. Busyness, however, does not really mean that we don’t have the time to post and comment. It means that we get caught up in other things and forget some of the important things. I mean, Maddenation should not be anyone’s number one priority, but family should. I have a wife and children who are my family, and they are always number one for me. But nobody else on here has their own family, so we ought to all maintain a high priority for the Patrick & Elizabeth Madden family. It’s still very high up there for me, even if it’s not number one.

Let’s get un-busy!

Another reason is that we’re overly critical of ourselves and each other when we post an item or comment. We’ve talked about it before, but maybe we should lighten up another notch.
