Notes from campus

We’re here for the Michigan State game, writing from Sacred Heart Parish Center on one of the du Lacs. (I can never remember which is which) Took a walk to the campus earlier after being awakened by the fire alarm. Apparently, water was left running in one of the bathrooms and overflowed and caused low water pressure (?) and set off the alarm. No big deal; mom and I weren’t having a very good sleep anyway, what with all the noise of people jumping up and down on the floor above and the fact that we must have been served caffeinated coffee after dinner instead of the decaff we ordered.

Dave and Kate are enroute from Chicago. Kate landed in O’Hare about 2am, so they didn’t sleep well either. About the game today, we’re hoping for a touchdown or two from the offense. A victory seems beyond hope, except for the old adage on any given day…

We had a great time with the Glee Club alums last night, singing and reminiscing. Today is just beautiful, and the campus is good food for my soul. As always.
