Harry Reid
Like many good-ole, red-necked Americans, I’m amused by Senator Reid’s purloined comments about Obama. First, they were downright true, as “insensitive” and ill-chosen as they were. Basically, what Harry was saying was that Americans were ready to vote for someone as good looking and articulate as Obama, but definately not ready for someone as ugly and ugly as Al Sharpton. Or Jesse Jackson.
I voted for Obama because I sensed that he is intelligent and I was impressed by his eloquence. Would I have voted for him if he was blacker? Yes. But if he talked like Sharpton or Jackson or Charlie Rangel, I would have run the other direction screaming and shouting that Sara Palin wasn’t so bad as VP. And if he talked like a gangsta rapper, well, I don’t think we’d be having this discussion.
I don’t care what happens to Harry Reid. That’s up to the idiots that comprise the Senate and the other idiots who vote in Nevada. Or maybe it’s up to those idiots from New York
